Example of "Scene Index" Menu #1 (actual DVD menu runs clips of each scene - this is a still image from it - used with permission) Click here to see what a scene index menu on a DVD looks like
A frame taken from a motion video used as the background for the "main" menu of a DVD. This is from a "Sports Video" for a scholarship application (used with permission). The actual menu on the DVD shows three independent clips which start from left to right. Each clip's motion overlaps and each clip begins from a freeze-frame and each ultimately freezes when it completes.
A frame from the "Sports Video" when the candidate introduces herself. This is also an example of captioning, a form of titling. Although the speaker can be heard and understood, there was a high level of unavoidable background noise and captions are present to clarify what is being said. The captions were superimposed directly on the video itself instead of having the DVD perform the captioning. (Used with permission)
A still frame (#300) from the Digital Wedding DVD Introduction Animation Demo Part1 (the "red carpet treatment") (size 143KB). The podium is near the back wall on the left and not yet visible at this point as the view is still outside the church. Click to See a Frame from the Digital DVD Intro
Another still frame, but later (#425) from the DVD Wedding Intro (size 153KB). Having moved into the church, this time the podium is visible at the back on the left. Click to See a Frame from the Digital DVD Intro
Still later on (pun intended) (frame # 500) in the Animation, closer to the church back (size 149KB). The "camera" will next fly over the flowers towards the podium. Click to See a Frame from the Digital DVD Intro
Still image from the RTFFX DVD Wedding Introduction Animation Part 2. Shown is the "book" on the podium (actually inside the church). Here the book is closed.
Similar to above image except now the book is open to the first page. This page, like the other pages in this book, ends up being one of the menus on the DVD when the simulated computer "camera" zooms into the page. A demo of this on the RTFFX movie demo page now available!
